As one of the world's leading airlines, Etihad Airways is renowned for its commitment to delivering a premium, luxurious travel experience to its passengers. From its opulent cabins to its exceptional service, Etihad Airways is dedicated to ensuring that its customers feel pampered and well taken care of. Recently, the airline celebrated the arrival of its new Airbus A350-1000 in the United States with a special event that stayed true to its brand promise of a luxurious experience where the magic lies in the details.

 

The event, held on September 7, 2022, at Cipriani in New York City, was attended by 200 esteemed VIP guests from New York, stakeholders, and Etihad Airways Group employees. The theme of the event retained the ambient geometry of prismatic details inspired by the form and color of the golden sand dunes with a sense of modernism that has become synonymous with Etihad. The look and feel of the event were elegant, opulent, sleek, stylish, and immersive, where every detail elevated the experience worthy of an A-list event.


As guests arrived, they were welcomed by Etihad stewardesses dressed in the famous Etihad uniform, greeting them like they were in first class. They were also offered glasses of different drinks, including champagne, rose, and other options. At the entrance, a model of the A350 plane was displayed to showcase the aircraft, and a photo wall was placed on the other side of the venue, allowing guests to take a picture with the Etihad photo wall and stewardesses.


Etihad Airways, being one of the biggest sponsors in the sports of football, decided to display the MLS Cup at the event, showcasing their achievement as MLS NYFC's biggest sponsor. The airline has been a significant sponsor of some of the biggest teams in the world, such as New York City FC, Melbourne City FC, and the world-renowned Manchester City.


To further enhance the luxurious experience, the agency Tagline 360, which organized the event, served guests a luxurious menu of foods and drinks, such as steak, pasta, Italian bread, and more, providing the same luxury experience as a first-class guest onboard an Etihad aircraft. The agency applied the same concept of look and feel of luxury in organizing the event at Cipriani, ensuring that every detail elevated the experience.


Program Flow
The entire event is basically a corporate event to launch the A350 AIRCRAFT, so the biggest names in the business world like Etihad’s CEO — Tony Douglas was there who was the one who gave a speech during the event. Aside from him, the majority of the guest were business people and Etihad Employees. So it was really important that the event experience is perfect. Happiness hides in life’s small details. After all, it is the smaller details that elevate the experience. Every small details matter even the soap that we have provided in the restroom, and the soap dispenser, every detail has to display that luxurious experience, in order to be consistent with the luxurious experience promise of the Etihad Airways brand.


Video Wall Experience
The showstopper of the event is definitely the Stunning 360-degree projection mapping at the Venue Cipriani. The programmable, immersive experience combines projection mapping, architectural lighting, spatialized surround sound, and optical illusion special effects to turn the interior of the New York City landmark building into a customizable atmosphere. Cipriani 25 Broadway was permanently outfitted with 17 high-resolution laser projectors that calibrate and align with its architectural features to form the largest indoor mapping installation for events in North America; the technology is housed in arches that are integrated into the building’s structure.

 

In conclusion, the event celebrating the arrival of Etihad Airways new Airbus A350-1000 in the United States stayed true to the airline's brand promise of a luxurious experience where the magic lies in the details. From the elegant and opulent look and feel of the event to the warm welcome by Etihad stewardesses and the display of the MLS Cup, every detail was curated to provide a luxurious, elevated experience for guests.
