McDonald’s: Making Every Moment Magical – Trusted Partner for Kiddie Crew & Halloween Fun Day

 

INTRODUCTION:

Since 2018, Five Seconds Advertising in collaboration with its affiliate, Tagline 360, has been McDonald’s Philippines' creative and strategic partner for its flagship family-friendly programs – the Kiddie Crew Bootcamp and Grand Halloween Fun Day. From content to execution, we’ve shaped experiences that celebrate childhood, community, and joyful engagement.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Sustaining momentum: Annual events needed fresh energy and relevance year-after-year.
  • Scalable spontaneity: Kiddie Crew Bootcamp required consistent participation while climaxing in a memorable graduation event. The Halloween Fun Day needed to break through with spectacle and accessibility.
  • Operational excellence: Both activations demanded seamless logistical execution –from workshops to massive event days – while staying on-brand and on-budget.

 

THE STRATEGY:

  • Integrated programming: Developed immersive, cohesive narratives across two flagship events to reinforce McDonald’s as a hub of family fun and learning.
  • Omni-channel buzz: Leveraged social media teasers, live highlights, and influencer partnerships to build anticipation for both activations.
  • Emotional connection: Crafted touchpoints that invited families to join not just as guests, but as proud participants in McDonald’s celebrated traditions.

 

THE SOLUTIONS:

  • Kiddie Crew Bootcamp & Grand Graduation

A signature 5-day training workshop spanning April to June 2025, designed to teach young kids (3–12 years old) character-building values through play-driven learning across various in-store floor activities culminating in a Grand Graduation ceremony with branded interactive zone engagements and stage-based performances turning completion into a family spectacle and earned media asset.

  • Grand Halloween Fun Day 
    A large-scale, family festival combining playful costumes, trick-or-treat booths, spooky-themed games, magical surprises, and themed freebies – accessible and festive for all ages. Attendees described entering a “bewitching world, filled with delightful treats, freebies, and cool surprises from McDonald’s”.


THE RESULTS:

  • Enduring partnership: Marking several seasons of collaboration, deepened trust and operational excellence with McDonald’s since 2018.
  • Reach & resonance: Kiddie Crew’s Bootcamp and graduation generated sustained family engagement over weeks on socials. The Halloween Fun Day delivered a high-impact brand halo in a single-day spectacle.
  • Media and organic amplification: Both events sparked strong local coverage, social sharing from families, and influencer highlights – boosting McDonald’s image as a champion of fun childhood experiences.
